Deadman Wonderland-Collar tutorial by Aerblade Deadman Wonderland-Collar tutorial by Aerblade
Here is how I constructed my collar for my Yoh cosplay ^^ Look around to find a couple of pics.

How to make the collar is a very common question among DW cosplayers. Its not the easiest shape to construct so here is my method.

I had to make one for a friend so I made a tutorial while making the second one. I gave it to her before I could photograph the final step so the last 2 were from my own. Mine was made in a bit of a rush so its not quiiite as neat and has been worn a few times so I may need to consider repairs very soon ^^ Plus some peeps visiting my house last week broke the velcro off despite distinctly telling them to be careful _

Just a quick work of warning, some glues make polystyrene melt so you might wanna test a little bit on some scrap first. Uhu glue is one of them as I found out 0_0 I have used Loctite super glue for both and it works a treat!

Feel free to use and send to friends ^^ Let me know if you are gonna put it online somewhere.

Just a few questions, how long do you let the PVA glue dry before adding on the paint? Also I noticed in the bottom 3 pictures your colar looks much shinier then in the above 2 that are painted. Is this just because of the light, or did you add on extra layers of paint after carving the lines?

Depends on the thickness of the glue :) Simply wait for it to dry fully before applying paint.

As for the bottom few pics, I have made 2 collars, one for myself and again for a friend. The one that I made the majority tutorial with was the one for my friend then realised I gave it to her before photographing the final result (doh! ><) so the bottom ones were mine.

Mine was worn at a convention and was done in a bit of a rush due to the event running up hence the slight differences :) And it was a 'trust you instincts' job XD
